An inversion of Lawrence of Arabia — a film told from the perspective of Arab bedouins rather than colonial adventurers, a scrappy coming of age story rather than a grand tale of epic, colonial ambitions. Naji reverted and suggested this be a feature film, and from there the story begins. A simple tale, but everything was described through the actions, not the with the words.
This was hindered by the fact that they wanted to use non professional actors  and found no women from the Bedouin communities willing to act in a film. Several workshops took place to prepare the Bedouin actors for the film, who were chosen by auditions.

This is really where the story begins, with Theeb left alone in the desert with little chance of survival. Instead, the boy follows. Cinematographic-ally the movie is pleasant to watch, acting is decent, directing could be better in my opinion. Very proud of you. I readily admit that I was also mesmerised by Jerry Lane’s score of pulsating rhythms and haunting chants so reminiscent of the Silk Road. Theeb looks pretty interesting to watch or maybe it was me because I usually think of the same thing for literally every single second after watching it for a minute or two.
